Obituary	A Former Garland Girl Dies The death of Estelle C. Foster occured February 10th at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clair Gray on the Dexter road after a period of failing health. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft March 20, 1860. At an early age she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Chandler to Garland where she lived and received her education in the Garland schools. She married William Foster now deceased. She taught school in Garland and Dover-Foxcroft several years after her marriage. She was always ready to help her neighbors. She was a member of Central Grange, East Piscataquis Pomona grange and the Wenonah Rebekah Lodge. She always took an active part until her health would not permit it. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clair Gray, Mrs. Harry Goff and Mrs. Harold Gray; four grand children and one great grandchild all of Dover-Foxcroft; two brothers, Charles and John Chandler of Dexter. A brother, Fred of Garland died last fall. Funeral services were held at the Gray home February 12, Rev. F. E. Ratzell officiating. The beautiful floral tributes expressed the high esteem in which she was held in the community. Interment will be in the family lot in the Brown Cemetery in the spring.
