H. LEIGH CYPHERS Funeral services for H. Leigh Cyphers, 63, who passed away suddenly Friday evening were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock with the Rev. Frederick L. Niles officiating. The bearers were Harold Small, Carl Bates, William Hair, Robert Mayo, Chester Conley and Herbert Downing. Interment was in Mount Pleasant cemetery. He was united in marriage to Miss Grace Webber of this town November 30, 1899, and they have made their home here with the exception of about one year when he was employed in Port Allegany, Pa. For over forty years Mr. Cyphers has been a valued employee of the S. L. Small Co. He was a member of the Methodist church, serving the church faithfully in the capacity of trustee. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Cyphers; a son, Kenneth L., and a granddaughter, Grace Ellen Cyphers of Cedar Grove, N. J. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cyphers; Mrs. Louise Charbonneau, Waltham; Mrs. F. W. Hill, Bangor; Ernest and Francis Palmer and Miss Susan Palmer, Dover-Foxcroft; John Webber, Ripley; Edgar Ham, Stetson; Mr. and Mrs. George Crocker, St. Albans; Percy Freeman, Waterville and Allison Lantz of Bangor.
