Obituary
Carl C. Hayden Funeral services for Carl C. Hayden 60, were held Sunday afternoon at the Crosby funeral parlor at 2 o'clock, the Rev. G. C. Reardon of the First Universalist church officiating. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends to pay final tribute to deceased. The body was placed in the tomb at Mt. Pleasant to await burial in the spring. The bearers were Cecil Williams, Samuel Staples, Verne Hollis and Robert Shaw. Mr. Hayden died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday, at his home on Russ street, after a long period of poor health. He was born in Brighton, March 9, 1883, the son of John S. and Eda Campbell Hayden. For the past twenty-seven years he has been a resident fo Dexter where he has been well known as a dealer in horses. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Maude Bailey Hayden; his father, John Hayden of West Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Smith of Connecticut and Mrs. Barbara Call of Bath, a granddaughter, Nancy Elaine Call and two sisters, Mrs. Vina Gorman of Bath and Mrs. Leone Franklin of Madison.
