Obituary
Walter N. Eaton Walter N. Eaton, 59, died Tuesday about midnight, in the house in which he was born, on the Ripley Road, after a short illness from Angina. He was the son of E. Warren and Ellen V. Batchelder Eaton and the date of his birth was October 19, 1883. He was a graduate of Dexter High School and attended, Bryant Stratton Business college in Boston. In 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Inez Gordon of this town, who passed away ten years ago. He married Mrs. Erma Flanders in 1936. Mr. Eaton has carried on the large farm for years and at one time sold farm machinery, later conducting an electrical business in town for a number of years. For the past few years he has also been in the poultry business. He was a past Master of Dexter Grange, P. of H. and was a member of the Masonic lodge. He was also a member of the Methodist church and had served as superintendent of the Sunday School. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Frederick L. Niles officiating. Mrs. Newel Littlefield will be at the organ. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. George O'Reilly of Cambridge, Mass.; five sons, Maynard O. of Dexter, J. Warren of Portland, Joseph P. of Hartford, Conn., Lt. Wendell G. of Camp Pickett, Va., and Robert H. of Dexter; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sawyer of Dexter; a brother, Charles Eaton of Brookville, Mass.; three grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. All members of the family are at home, called here by Mr. Eaton's death.
