Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn M. Brown Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn M. Brown, 79, widow of the late Charles Henry Brown, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist church, the Rev. Mr. Stackhouse of Dover-Foxcroft, officiating in the absence of the pastor, Rev. J. K. Halliday. There were many beautiful floral tributes from friends and relatives. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery beside her husband and daughter. Mrs. Brown died very suddenly Monday morning at the home of Mrs. Helen Hatch, upper Main street where she had resided since last April. She had been in poor health for some time. Following the death of her husband, she sold her home on Free street and for several months was with relatives in Auburn. She was born in Cambridge, the daughter of David and Ellen Larrabee Morrill and was a resident of Dexter more than fifty years. She was a former member of Wassookeag chapter, O. E. S., and was a member of the First Baptist church. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lettie Perkins and Mrs. Belle Cobb of Auburn; two brothers, Bert Morrill of Cambridge and Ira Morrill of Auburn also several nieces and nephews.
