Obituary	GALEN I. WENTWORTH DEXTER - Galen I.Wentworth, 81, died February 9, 1999 at at Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born December 11, 1917 at Monson, the son of Ralph and Bessie (Bodge) Wentworth. He was a graduate of Monson Academy and moved to Dexter in 1940. He was employed for a time at Fay & Scott Machine Shop and then became a well known plumber in the Dexter area for many years. He was a Past Master of Penobscot Lodge #39 AF & AM, a Past High Priest of St. John's Royal Arch Chapter #25; a member of the Anah Temple Shrine, where he was a greeter and member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court #150 of Bangor. He was Captain of the Anah Temple Foot Patrol and member of the Tri-County Shrine Club. He was also a member of Plymouth Lodge, I.O.O.F. He was past chairman of the Dexter Utility District and a member of the Dexter Fish and Game Association. He was a past president of the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis, a Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis from 1989 to 1900 and was also the 1998 Grand Marshall of Dexterfest. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle (Finley) Wentworth of Dexter; one son, Grayson Wentworth of Hermon; one daughter, Sandra Langlais of Dexter; two brothers, Roger of Naples and Barefoot Bay, Fl, and Rodney of East Hartford, Ct; five grandchildren, Michael, Shannon, Christopher, Sean and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Patrick and Dustin Ellis; several nieces and nephews. He will aslo be fondly remembered by special friends Oscar and Thelma Ulman of Sangerville. Funeral services were held February 12, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Maurice Neal officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Ana Temple Shrine, P.O. Box 735, Bangor, 04401.
