Obituary	Charles Sampson, 86, died Saturday, December 28 at the home of his son, Ralph Sampson, following a long period of ill health He was born in Ripley, December 16, 1860, the son of George R. and Louisa Lane Sampson. His wife, Etta, died a year ago. He is survived by two sons, Ralph of Dexter and Roy of Springfield, Mass., a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Morse of Saco, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ripley Methodist church, the Rev. Gilman Lane officiating. The bearers were Henry Brown, Fred Butler, Harold Wing all of Ripley, Harry Merrill of Dexter.
