Obituary
ALCIDE L. LESSARD DEXTER - Alcide L. Lessard, died January 29, 1999, at a Bangor hospital. He was born January 18, 1923, in Skowhegan, the son of Joseph and Amanda (Turcotte) Lessard. He graduated from Skowhegan High School class of 1941, and then served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the service Alcide worked in quality control for Dexter Shoe Co. in Dexter. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Faustina (Clukey) Lessard; two sons and their wives, Daryl and Linda Lessard and Robert and Deborah Lessard; a daughter and her husband, Deborah and Micahel Ronco, a sister and her husband, Catherine and Loren Clukey, all of Dexter and a sister, Elizabeth Bisson of Skowhegan; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Norman, Joseph and Raymond. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated February 3, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter, with Rev. Antonio Amato officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330.
