Obituary
BRUCE G. ROLFE DEXTER - Bruce G. Rolfe, 74, died January 26, 1999 at his Prospect Street residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 17, 1924, at Hope, the adopted son of LeRoy and Nellie Rolfe. He attended Union schools, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He had been employed at several area factories. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper, and will be sadly missed by his many camping friends. His happiest moments were when his home was full of grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Crowell) Rolfe of Dexter; his children, Bruce, Jr. of Waldoboro, Warren of Rockland, Glenda and husband Loren Roberts of Belfast, Julie and husband Wayne Smith, Deborah and husband Robert Hartley, all of Dexter, Ralph "Eddie" and wife Lottie of Waldo, Susan and husband James Fletcher of Exeter, William "Bill" and friend Clarissa of Dover, New Hampshire, Tammy and husband Scott Ray of Cambridge, five sisters, Helen Gerrish of Milo, Ethel Fergerson and Alice Rolfe both of Trenton, Ontario, Bertha Smith of Ellsworth and June Merrifield of St. Albans; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one great granddaughter, Natasha Roberts, who died in 1981. Funeral services were January 29, at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with Rev. Robert Emrich officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
