Obituary	LOUIS B. COUTURE DEXTER - Louis E. Couture, 91, died December 12, 1996 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born July 7, 1905 in VanBuren, son of Edward and Marie (Deschaine) Couture. He graduated from St. Mary's College in VanBuren and then worked for Phelps Dodge in Elizabeth, NJ for 30 years before retiring in 1970. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter and was a former member of the Sacred Heart Society. He is survived by three daughters Mrs. Leo (Fern) Langlais of Dexter, Mrs. Melchior (Luellla) Carrier of Blandon, Penn and Mrs. Edmond (Geraldine) Fortin of Newport; 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, 3 great great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Sadie Couture, in 1994 and a grandson Mark Fortin in 1983. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated December 19 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with Rev. Antonio Amato officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to St. Anne's Catholic Church, Free Street, Dexter ME 04930.
