Obituary	BLANCHE M. JOHNSON DEXTER - Blanche M. Johnson, 88, died at Millinocket on August 14, 2001. She was born in Dexter October 25, 1912, the daughter of Leonard and Florence (Russell) Haseltine. She was married to Albert M. M. Johnson who she met at Rainbow Lake Sporting Camps where she was a chambermaid and cook and he a guide. He died in July of 1973. She was a member of the Millinocket Baptist Church and the Past President and Treasurer of the Ladies' Mission Circle. Mrs. Johnston was an avid gardener and reader. She was very fond of birds and other kinds of wildlife and nature. She is survived by three sons; Albert and wife Phyllis Johnston of Carmel, Eugene and wife Elizabeth Johnston of East Millinocket, and Brian and wife Julie Johnson of Stacyville. Four daughters: Florence and husband Arthur Archie of Millinocket, Alice and husband William Morgan of Windham, NH. Mary and husband David Pelkey of Hamden, and Dorothy Johnston of Millinocket. 17 Grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service was held August 16 at Millinocket Baptist Church. The Rev. Will Hough officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket 04462. Arrangements are by R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
