Obituary	ROBERT W. ATWATER DEXTER - Robert W. Atwater, 91, passed away quietly in his sleep May 30, 1996 at his residence in Dexter. He was born in North Dexter, October 5, 1904, the son of Edgar and Eva (Sanbom) Atwater. He worked many years as a farmer and also as a carpenter. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie (Clukey) Atwater in 1976; his sisters, Doris Potts, Kate Weston, Eleanor Easley, Barbara Clark; and his brothers, Randall, Hugh, Charles, and Archie Atwater. He is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Clukey of Dexter; one son, Paul Atwater of Snellsville, GA; one step-daughter, Gladys Rand of Killingsworth, CT; one step-son, Richard Clukey of Dexter. Three sisters Imogene Cameron, Wilda Bridgon, Julia Roberts; two brothers Roland Atwater, Maurice, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services were held June 4 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
