Obituary	CARLENE CLAPP DEXTER- Carlene A. Clapp, 75, died unexpectedly December 24, 1999 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born in Dexter on June 17, 1924 the daughter of Stanley and Evelyn (Clukey) Frautten. She attended Dexter schools and was a certified nurses aide. For a number of years she was employed at St. Dominic's Boarding Home in Dexter. She retired from Dexter Shoe Company. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister. Stanley "Chick" Frautten, John Frautten, Paul Frautten, Vincent Frautten, and Flossie (Clukey) McDonald. She is survived by 3 sons, Bryant and wife Jeannine Webber, Merville "Gus" and wife Vineta Webber, all of Florida, Elwood Clapp, Jr. of Dexter; 4 daughters and their spouses, Sandra and Milton Brockway, of Newport, Joyce and Sanger Davis, Barbara and Preston Collins, Darlene and John Hill, all of Dexter; one brother, Edward and his wife, Carlene's special sister-in-law, Nancy Frautten of Dexter; one sister, Rita Ronco of Dexter; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Laurie, Douglas, Julie, John Jr., Jennifer, Jason, Melissa, Tammy, Christine, Terry, Keri Jo, and Annie; 15 great grandchildren; as well as dear friends Vernie Webber, Ann Nagel, and Beryl Woodard; several nieces and nephews; as well as her special companion, Fluffy. Friends called Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Annes Church, Dexter. Burial at Mt., Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
