Obituary	M. ADELINE MERRILL DEXTER - M. Adeline Merrill, 85, wife of the late Clyde G. Merrill, Sr. died January 22, 2000 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born April 27, 1914 at Presque Isle the daughter of Alexander and Emilia (Tremblay) LaBree. Adeline was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter and had previously been an active member of the North Dexter Grange. She had been employed at Dexter Shoe Company for many years. Adeline enjoyed teaching ceramics at her home for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at Lake Wassookeag, where she had resided for 30 years. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Her sister Georgianna Hartford died January 22, 2000 also. She is survived by 5 children, Sheri Mulligan of Malden, MA, Clyde Merrill, Jr. and Janice of Corinna, Cynthia Merrill of Southington, CT, Charles "Chip" Merrill and his wife, Diane of Dexter, and Jane Gauthier and her husband, Douglas of Garland; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a close friend Perley Parent. Friends called Janaury 24 Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline and Georgianna was celebrated January 25 at St. Annes Church, Dexter, with Rev. George Beaudet officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
