Obituary	GEORGIANNA L. HARTFORD DEXTER - Georgianna L. Hartford, 93, wife of the late Chester L. Hartford, died January 22, 2000 at a Dexter healthcare facility. She was born March 19, 1906 at Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of Alexander and Emilia (Tremblay) LaBree. She moved to Presque Isle in her early years, where she met and married Chester in May, 1921. The couple moved to Dexter shortly thereafter. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter, and was also a member of St. Anne's Guild and the Daughters of Isabella. Georgianna was a member of the Dexter Golden Age Club, AARP, and the Dexter Grange. She spent many years raising and nurturing dogs and cats at her Gould Avenue kennels. Her animals went to homes throughout the State and beyond. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her home. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 5 brothers, Auriel, Leo, Lawrence, James, and Adrial; 3 sons, Lewis, Leo, and Roger; her sister Pearl; and son-in-law, Vincent Pisano. Her sister, Adeline Merrill died January 22, 2000 also. She is survived by 4 sons, Chester and wife Joan of Garland, Arnold and wife Constance of Corinna, Ronald and wife Doris, and Arthur, all of Dexter; 1 daughter, Genevia Pisano of Brookfield, CT; 27 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for Georgianna and Adeline was celebrated January 25 at St. Annes Church, Dexter, with Rev. George Beaudet officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
