Obituary	JOSEPH PHILIP ARGUIN DEXTER - Joseph Philip Arguin, 76, died March 18, 2000 at a Dexter healthcare facility. He was born September 24, 1923 at Sherbrooke, PQ, Canada, the son of Philip and Anna (Provost) Arguin. He graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1945, and attended the Fanny Farmer Cooking School in Boston. Phil worked for many years as a bartender at the Crescent Hotel in Waterville, the Sterling Hotel in Dexter, and the Dexter Motor Lodge. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Parish, where he served for many years as the caretaker. He was a member of Cardinal Mercier Council 2625, Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his sister, Gertrude Sherburne and one nephew, Richard Sherburne, both of Augusta; 5 nieces, Joan Burke, Barbara Haines, and Gloria Landry, all of Dexter, Dorothy Koller of Colorado Springs, CO, and Carmen Hodge of Monmouth. At his request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 21, 2000 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with Rev. Paul Marquis officiating. Spring interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dexter Healthcare Patient Activity Fund, 64 Park Street, Dexter 04930.
