Obituary	MATTHEW J. POOLER DEXTER - Matthew Joseph Pooler, 26, died June 1, 2000 at his Park Street residence after a long illness. He was born July 13, 1973 at Dover-Foxcroft the son of Carroll and Christine (Smith) Pooler. He graduated from Dexter Regional High School, class of 1991. On June 22, 1996, he married Shelly Marie Nagle. He was employed as a shipping clerk at Maine Sysco in Newport until 1999 when he stopped working full time due to failing health. Matt also owned and operated Pooler's Lawn Care. He enjoyed snowmobiling and mud running. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Parish. In addition to his parents and wife of Dexter, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Rita Larson and maternal grandfather, William Smith, both of Dexter; 1 brother, M. Luke Pooler and his wife, Michelle of Windham; a niece Molly, and a special godson, Joshua Smith; several aunts and uncles; and many dear friends. Matt was also loved by his pets Scout, Otis, and Oliver. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 4 p.m. Monday, June 5th at the Dexter Regional High School gymnasium with the Rev. James Gower officiating. Burial will follow the mass at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Matt Pooler Memorial Playground, C/O Town Office, P.O. Box 313, Dexter 04930.
