Obituary	JOSEPH A. CHABOT DEXTER - Joseph Aurele Chabot, 88, died July 8, 2000 at Dexter Healthcare. He was born December 17, 1911 at Beaumont Quebec, Canada the son of Aurele and Mary (Laflamme) Chabot. As a young man he worked in various lumber camps and then was employed as a weaver at Abbot Woolen Mill for over 40 years until the mill closed. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St Anne's Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by five children, Marie Conway of Skowhegan, Roland Chabot of Prospect Harbor, Beverly Edgecomb of Dexter, Richard Chabot of Durham, and Elaine Hawthorne of Gray; brothers and sisters, Lionel and Phillip Chabot, Jeannette, Helen, and Rita Clukey, and Florence Gould, all of Dexter; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Eva (Fanjoy) Chabot, son David, and brothers Louis and Paul. Friends called Monday at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association, 122 State St, Augusta 04330.
