Obituary	ANNE SANCHEZ DEXTER - Funeral services for Anne (Sylvain) Sanchez, a homemaker and former participant for many year in the Catholic Charities Foster Parent Program of the Archdiocese of Boston, are being held on Saturday, August 19. Mrs. Sanchez was born in New Canada Plantation, Maine, on March 30, 1914, a daughter of the late Dennis and Alvine (Mornault) Sylvain. She grew up and was educated in Fort Kent before moving to Massachusetts in 1938. She moved to Watertown in 1954 from Frighton, MA., and after her husband's death in December of 1997 moved to Dexter. She died at the residence in Dexter, on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, after a long illness. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Sanchez, a graduate of the Mansfield Academy, Boston, was an avid gardener. She enjoyed planting the many various types of perennials and annuals for floral arrangements to decorate her home on Palfrey Hill. Mrs. Sanchez and her late husband were participants in the Catholic Charities Foster Parent Program for 12 years and cared for over 50 children awaiting adoption during those years. She leaves her daughters and sons-in-law: Martha and Joe Keaveney of Dexter, and Deidra and John Burke of Billerica MA.; her sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Shirley (Alvarez) Sanchez of Waban, MA., Robert and Sandra (Murphy) Sanchez of Watertown, MA., a daughter-in-law: Cecily (Power) Sanchez formerly of Needham, MA.; 15 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She also leaves four sisters: Sr. Annette Sylvain, P.F.M. of Baie St. Paul, Quebec, Helen Sylvain of Manchester, CT, Jeanne Chasse of Sinclair, ME., and Yvette Charette of Westfield, MA.; and three brothers: Leonard Sylvain and Norman Sylvain of Ft. Kent and Joel Sylvain of Vernon, CT. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Eugene F. Sanchez to whom she had been married for 57 years; by her son, Eugene F. Sanchez, Jr.; by two sisters: Irene Cyr and Theresa Sylvain; and by two brothers: Edwin Sylvain and Aurel Sylvain. Mrs. Sanchez's funeral was at MacDonald, Rockwell, & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown, MA., on Saturday, August 19 at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 am. In the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, Watertown, MA. Calling hours were at the funeral home on Friday, August 18.
