Obituary	IRENE M. GILBERT DEXTER - Irene M. Gilbert, 96, died February 19, 1998 at a Dexter nursing home. She was born March 31, 1901 at Dexter the daughter of Stephen and Marie (Higgins) Ambrose. She was predeceased by her husband Philip T. Gilbert who died in 1977. Irene was a communicant of St. Anne's Parish. She was employed at Dunbarton Woolen Mill in Dexter for 54 years, retiring when the mill closed. She is survived by one brother Julian Ambrose of Dexter, and one sister, Anita Savage of Old Orchard Beach; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 23 at St. Anne's Church, Dexter, with Rev. Antonio Amato officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
