Obituary	CLAUDLA J. DAVIS DEXTER - Claudia J. Davis, 45, died April 3, 1997 at a Bangor hospital. She was born February 15, 1952 in New Haven, CT, daughter of Lawrence and Kathleen (Hall) Gustin. She attended Dexter Schools and then received her CNA and CMA from Kennebec Technical College in Waterville in 1991. For many years she was involved in home health care nursing. She also worked with her husband in their family business. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Dexter Planning Board, and had been a cub scout den mother as well as full-time mother and grandmother. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, auctions, her camp on Ripley Pond and loved crafts. She is survived by her husband Howard "Bud" Davis Jr. of Dexter; four sons and their wives, Stewart and Robin Davis, Alan and Karen Ellis Jr., Todd Davis and Kevin Davis all of Dexter; three brothers and their wives Alverdo Gustin of Dexter, Gordon and Lorrie Gustin of Milo and Timothy Gustin of Dexter; a sister and her husband Lucille and Ken Irvin of Ripley; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 6, 1997 at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter with Pastor Robert Emrich officiating. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Howard and Avis and Claudia Davis fund for the Dexter Historical Society, PO Box 481, Dexter ME 04930, to benefit the Town of Dexter and the people that she loved so much. Burial will be later in the spring in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
