LINDELL J. HATCH DEXTER - Lindell Joseph Hatch, 82, died February 4, 1997 at his Pleasant Street residence. He was born July 2, 1914 at Ripley the son of Henry and Winnefred (Skillings) Hatch. He attended Ripley Schools. Lindell was a well-known automobile mechanic having worked for Dexter Motor Sales and Labun Chevrolet. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dexter. He is survived by his wife Louise (Flagg) Hatch of Dexter; one son, Dennis, and his wife Alice Hatch of Milo; two daughters, Velora and Clifton Reed of Hermon; Linda and Dermont Reed of Hampden; five grandchildren, Julie Royal, Theresa McMannus, Douglas Reed, David Reed and Sherry Reed; one great granddaughter, Morgan Royal, and an uncle, Jesse Skillings. Funeral services were held at the Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter, with Rev. John Ross, Pastor of the First Free Baptist Church of Dexter officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dexter High School Scholarship Fund for students studying automotive technology, C/O Mr. John Curran, Tri-County Technical Center, 14 Abbott Hill Road, Dexter ME 04930.
