Obituary	BARBARA D. CLUKEY DEXTER - Barbara D. Clukey, 78, widow of the late James Alton Clukey, died April 1, 1996 at a Bangor hospital. She was born January 6, 1918 in Abbot, the daughter of Bonney and Ella (Dudley) Diffin. She graduated from Abbot High School class of 1935 and from Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing class of 1941. She worked as an RN at Plummer Memorial Hospital in Dexter for 21 years and was Director of Nursing for 11 years. She then worked as a charge nurse at Dexter Nursing Home for six years retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Dexter Nurses Guild. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Dube of Dexter and Bonnie Phinney of Belfast; a step-son Barry Clukey of Dexter; a step-daughter, Sally Ann Hobbs of E. Millinocket; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and two great grandsons; two step-great-grandchildren and her special cat Alex. She was predeceased by a sister Frances Ridley. Funeral services were held April 3, 1996 at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter. Burial will be later in the spring at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
