Obituary	BARBARA R. WAKEFIELD RIPLEY - Barbara R. Wakefield, 83, died March 30, 1996 at a Skowhegan nursing home. She was born April 9, 1912 at Dexter the daughter of Cecil and Bertha (Sites) Williams. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel C. Wakefield II, who died in 1994. She was a graduate of N.H. Fay High School, and was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekahs. She is survived by two sons, Roger of Ripley and Brent of Detroit; two sisters, Donna Knox of Dexter and Betty Bardsley of Newburyport, MA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren. Private visitation was held at the Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter. Graveside committal services will be held later in the spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Daniel C. Wakefield II Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Dexter Regional High School.
