Obituary	ARTHUR L. DOYLE EAST WINTHROP AND DEXTER - Arthur Leonard Doyle, 58, of East Winthrop, died December 5, 1995 at his home after fighting a battle with cancer. He was born in Dexter, Maine on February 18, 1937. He was the son of the late Everett E. and Grace (Landry) Doyle. He was educated in the Pittsfield, Maine schools. Mr. Doyle was employed as a handsewer in Dexter and Pittsfield for many years. His last employment was with Cole-Haan, Lewiston. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #40, Winthrop. He was an avid fisherman, a champion bowler, and in his younger years he loved to dance. He was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. He will be sadly missed by his survivors which include one sister, Catherine Doyle Mooers and brother-in-law, Walter F. Mooers, Sr. of Manchester, Maine; close friends, Robert Gosselin, Jr. of Lisbon, Valerie Barclay of Lewiston, and a special friend, Elvira Morris of Livermore Falls. He leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held at the Manchester Community Church on December 9 with the Rev. Ernest B. Johnson, Jr. officiating. Committal prayers will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
