Obituary	ETHEL A. BOWEN DEXTER - Ethel A. Bowen, 70, died November 28, 1995 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born February 12, 1925 at Skowhegan, the daughter of Adam and Mary (Michaud) Demo, and graduated from high school there. She owned and operated the Red Ranch Hotel in Eastport, Raynor Avenue Lunch in Whitman, MA, and later the Pine Tree Restaurant in Skowhegan until her retirement. She was a member of the Sunshine Club in Skowhegan, the American Legion Post #50 Ladies Auxiliary in Unity, Shirley B, Carter Post 4298 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Dexter, the Pine Tree Society for Handicapped Children and Adults, the Ripley Grange, and volunteered in the Alzheimer's ward at the U.S.V.A. hospital in Togus. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a step-mother, Emma. She is survived by one son, Alan Frost of Berkeley, CA; two daughters, Sue Levensellar of Dexter, and Deborah Burdin of Cambridge; one brother, Arnold Demo of Benton Station; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren. She will be remembered by a special companion, James Rattigan of Dexter. There will be no public viewing. A Memorial Service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter, with Rev. Peter Temple officiating.
