Obituary	VERNA F. SHIELDS DEXTER - Verna F. Shields, 84, died November 12, 1995 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a short illness. She was born August 17, 1911 in Corinna, the daughter of Herbert and Carrie (Crowell) Frost. She had worked as a secretary at Faye-Scott Landis for 25 years. After retirement she had been a volunteer worker for Meals for Me and attended the Corinna United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Dexter Extension, the Dexter Golden Age Club and the Corinna Senior Citizens. She is survived by a grandson Bruce Walters of Beloit, Wis., several nieces and nephews and cousins and a close friend Carl Cuthbert of Dexter. Verna was predeceased by a son, Errol, a daughter Atalie Walters, a sister Helen, and three brothers, Leslie, Ivan and Arian Frost. Graveside funeral services were held November 14 at the Corinna Center Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Hudson officiating. Arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home, Pleasant St., Corinna. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Corinna United Methodist Church.
