Obituary	MAVIS E. POOLER DEXTER - Mavis E. Pooler, 58, died August 31, 1994 at EMMC in Bangor. She was born December 26, 1935 in Watford, England, daughter of William and Gladys (Seamoure) Pugh. She worked for Dexter Shoe for 16 years until retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Dexter Municipal Golf Club. The greatest blessing of her life was her family and friends and the happiness that she derived from seeing her family grow and her pride in them and her grandchildren. Her accomplishments may have been small but what she had to overcome in her battle with cancer was an inspiration for us all. For all of us she never gave up. She left us all with a smile and a thank you for having met and loved her. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Pooler of Dexter; 2 sons and their wives Buddy and Lynn Mountain of Dexter and Ed and Robin Mountain of San Antonio, TX; 2 daughters and their husbands Deb and Mike Scott and Cathy and Larry Haskell all of Dexter; 2 step daughters and their husbands Debra and Eric Poulin of Ashland and Laura and John Frye of Franklin; a brother David Pugh of England; a sister Marion Brown of Orrington; 11 grandchildren. Calling hours were held at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home 238 Main St. Dexter, Maine with funeral services at the First Free Baptist Church in Dexter with Rev. Peter Temple officiating.
