Obituary	H. JOSEPHINE OTTO GRAVES ORONO - H. Josephine Otto Graves, 71, beloved wife of Dr. Robert A. Graves, died November 23, 1993 at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Dexter, August 2, 1922, the daughter of Millard G. and Marjorie (Foss) Otto. She attended Dexter schools and was graduated from the University of Maine, Class of 1945. She was a homemaker all her married life. She is survived by her husband, five children, Deborah G. Shoup and her husband, Vernon, of Winchester, MA; David Graves and his wife, Amanda, of Kensington, MD, Stephen Graves and his wife, Margaret, of Arlington, VA; Susan Graves of Montague, MA, and her best friend, Judy Pierson of Cambridge, MA; Betsy Graves Rose and her husband, Mark, of Hampden; and six grandchildren, Robert A. Graves II and Matthew Graves of Kensington, MD; Elisabeth and Brittany Shoup of Winchester, MA; and Alexander and Benjamin Rose of Hampden. Funeral Services were held November 27 at the Brookings-Smith Funeral Home, LaBeau Chapel, Orono, with the Rev. Roger Plummer officiating. Mrs. Graves is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
