Obituary	LEON F. HAMMOND DEXTER - Leon F. Hammond, 64, husband of Elinor (Poole) Hammond, died September 15, 1993 at a local nursing home. He was born in Dexter May 27, 1929, the son of Floyd and Alice (Waugh) Hammond. A World War II Army veteran, Leon had been employed at Fay-Scott and then operated a dairy farm in Dexter for many years. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Dover-Foxcroft. He is survived by his mother, Alice Hammond, his wife Elinor, and sister, Arlene and her husband Roger Davis, all of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held September 17 at the Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Kimball Cookson officiating. Arrangements were in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
