Obituary
JERRY W. GRAEF DEXTER and TOGUS - Jerry W. Graef, 58, died June 11, 1993, at the Veterans Hospital in Togus. He was born October 2, 1934, in Hutchinson, Kansas, son of Joseph and Mary (Holland) Graef. He graduated from the Delano, Cal. High School Class of 1952 and entered the Army retiring in 1975 as a Master Sergeant. He worked for Dexter Shoe for a short while and for Fay Scott in Dexter for several years. Three years ago he opened a Redemption Center in East Corinth. He will be remembered by many as a ASA Softball Umpire. Survivors include his parents of Delano, CA; his wife Mary (Peakes) Graef of Dexter; one brother, Phillip and wife Judy of Folsom, CA, a sister, Jo-Sue Crocker and her husband of Clyde, CA, two brothers and their wives, James and Julie Peakes and family of Dexter and John and Marilyn Peakes and family of Mojave, CA; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held June 14 at the Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter, with Pastor Maurice Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Maloon Cemetery in St. Albans. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society, or to the Veterans Administration in Togus.
