Obituary
REV. JOHN OULTON DEXTER - Rev. John Oulton, 90, died May 30, 1993, at a Skowhegan hospital. He was born April 12, 1903 in Barnston Quebec Canada, the son of William and Lucy (Taylor) Oulton. He served over 50 years as an Advent Christian minister in New England and the Maritime Provinces. Some of his parishes included Reals, Swans Island and Dover-Foxcroft. In his pre-ministry years John enjoyed farming and later in his retirement years he enjoyed gardening and mountain climbing; even climbing Mt. Washington at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his wife Bessie Mae (Wynn) Oulton. He is survived by five daughters and their husbands, Carol and Harley Bye and Ann and Bernard Beal of Beals, Beth and Alfred Lee of Dexter, Carolyn and William Vogt of Jobstown, NH and Faith and Gerard DeRaps of Old Town; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Calling hours were June 1 at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter. Funeral services were held June 2 at Advent Christian Church in Dover-Foxcroft with Pastor Kimball Cookson officiating. Graveside committal services were held June 3 at Ladd Street Cemetery, Haverhill, NH.
