Obituary
Mrs. Fred M. Young, 83 died Monday morning at her home on School street, following a long period of ill health. She was born in Exeter, January 19, 1863, the daughter of Mary and Simeon W. Butters, one of 4 children. She married Fred M. Young, September 17, 1885. In the early years of their married life they lived in Exeter, later moving to Beverly, Mass. They returned to Exeter and then came to Dexter in 1903 to remain. Mrs. Young was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter. Although confined to her home for a long time by ill health, she was always very helpful, cheerful, and, kindly when friends called. She is survived by her husband, Fred M. Young; a son, Harry W. Young; 3 daughters; Miss Stella M. Young, Mrs. Earle Lincoln all of Dexter; Mrs. Ralph Ramirez of Wellesly, Mass. Two children died in early life. There are 7 grandchildren, Mrs. Richard B. White, Jr., of South Portland; Philip S. Young, Richard B. Young, Marilyn Lincoln, Dorothy Lincoln, all of Dexter; Peter and David Ramirez of Wellesly, Mass. Another grandson, Paul Young, died in 1930. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Her nephew, the Rev. Alfred W. Stone of Watertown, Mass., will officiate. Interment will be in the Exeter Center cemetery. The bearers will be Harry W. and Richard Young.
