Obituary	GEORGE W. ASH DEXTER - George W. Ash, 88, died April 6, 1993, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born December 4, 1904, in Washington the son of Frank and Clara Ash. He worked for Fayscott in Dexter for several years before moving to Connecticut, where he worked for Pratt-Whitney. In 1960, George returned to Dexter. He owned and operated the Ash General Store on the Dover Road until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of the South Sangerville Grange and the Corinna Senior Citizens. He is survived by one son, Frank Ash of Tampa, FL; three daughters, Carolyn Ash of Dexter, Shirley Holts of E. Hartford, CT, and Betty Stevens of S. Berwick; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 8 at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Judson Stone officiating. Spring burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Freedom.
