ROSE ADAMS PLOUFF DEXTER - Rose Adams Plouff, wife of the late Norman F. Plouff, died March 26, 1993, at a nursing home at the age of 90. She was graduated from Rockland High School and in 1926 from the University of Maine. She had a long experience as a teacher in both public and private schools. She was a teacher of English and Spanish at Rockland High School for three years; head of the English Department at Wassookeag School in Dexter for eight years; teacher of English and head of the reading department at the Loomis-Chaffee School in Windsor, CT. Her summer school experience included Wassookeag School-Camp and the May Summer School in Dexter, as well as Camp Waya-A-wi in Rangeley. She was secretary for Abnaki Girl Scouts and a lieutenant colonel on the Maine Wing Staff of the Civil Air Patrol as deputy of aerospace education. She was a member of the Dexter School Committee and had been executrix of the Imogene Maybury Scholarship Fund. She is survived by a brother, George J. Adams of West Hartford, CT; and a nephew Joseph G. Adams of Guilford, CT. Funeral services were held March 31 at St. Anne's Church. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
