CLARENCE E. GILES DEXTER - Clarence E. Giles, 85, died December 8, 1989, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born May 7, 1904, at Dexter, the son of Harry and Della (White) Giles. He attended Dexter and Corinna schools and was employed at both the Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and the Abbott Woolen Mill in Dexter, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Dexter Pentecostal Church. He was predeceased by his first wife, Leonie (Chase), who died November 5, 1978. On November 20, 1979, he married Arlene Hall. In addition to his wife of Dexter, he is survived by five sons, Wendell and Herbert, both of Dexter, Dwaine, Harry and Rodney, all of Garland; four daughters, Mabel Day of Garland, Rev. Phyllis Webber of Dexter, Olivia Curtis of Exeter and Maxine Faloon of Groveland, Fla.; two brothers, John of Garland and Bangor, and Floyd of Clinton; three sisters, Relief Knowles and Dorothy Hewes, both of St. Albans, and Ethel Leavitt of Hartland; 37 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren. Friends called at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, Dexter, on December 10 and funeral services were held December 11 at Dexter Pentecostal Church with Pastor Ronald Marr officiating. Spring interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Garland.
