Obituary	EDITH O. FLEWELLING DEXTER - Edith O. Flewelling, 70, died November 16, 1989 at her Mechanic Street residence. She was born October 15, 1919 in Dexter, the daughter of Ernest and Myrtle (Bailey) Blethen. She graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1937. She retired in June 1982, after being employed by Dexter Shoe Company for 20 years. She was a member of South Sangerville Grange, the Shirley B. Carter VFW Auxiliary, and the Golden Age Club. She enjoyed beano and regularly attended the First Free Baptist Church of Dexter. She was predeceased by her first husband, Peter LaRochelle on September 18, 1974. On October 2, 1982, she married Forrest Flewelling. In addition to her husband of Dexter, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fred (Janice) Jones of St. Albans, Mrs. Kenneth (Diana) Gardiner of Corinna, Marilyn LaRochelle of Bangor, Mrs. Ivan (Elaine) Cayford of St. Albans, and Mrs. John (Linda) Wilber of Dexter; one aunt, Gladys Bailey of Dexter; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and. one step-daughter, Mrs. Reginald (Mildred) Mountain of Dexter. Friends called on November 17 at Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. A VFW memorial service was held on November 17 at the funeral home. Funeral services were held on November 18 at the First Free Baptist Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
