Obituary	LLOYD HARVEY HATCH JR. DEXTER - Lloyd Harvey Hatch Jr., 74, died September 17, 1992, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born in Dexter, December 20, 1917, the son of Lloyd H. and Winifred (Hill) Hatch Sr. He attended Dexter Grammar School and Wassookeag School, a prep school founded by his father. He attended Bowdoin College from 1936 to 1940 and was a member of Chi Psi fraternity. After serving in the Army during World War II, Mr. Hatch received a diploma from Aetna Insurance School. Upon returning to Dexter, he worked for Judkins Insurance Agency. In November of 1944, he opened the Hatch Agency Real Estate and Insurance, which he operated for 47 years until March of 1992. During the 1960's he served the Town of Dexter as a selectman. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Ellms) Hatch of Dexter; four daughters, Prudence McMann of Waterville, Elizabeth Hatch of Eliot, Sarah Malley of South Portland, and Susan Hatch of Seattle, WA; a sister, Barbara Rust of Scituate, MA; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held September 21 at the Dexter Universalist Church with the Rev. Alec Craig officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
