RODOLPH 'PETE' J. LaGASSE DEXTER - Rodolph LaGasse, 71, died August 14, 1992, at his Fairway Knolls residence in Dexter. He was born April 15, 1921, at Old Town, the son of Ubard "Albert' and Alice (Dionne) LaGasse. He was a highly respected businessman in the Dexter community, having owned and operated LaGasse's IGA in town for more than 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church and was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Dexter Kiwanis and the Dexter Club. In addition to his wife, Dorothy (Bennett) of Dexter; he is survived by two sons, G. Peter of Dexter and Robert M. of Derry, NH; one daughter, Bonnie Sheldon of Raymond; three brothers, Leo of Westbrook, Albert of Dexter, and James of Pittsfield; four sisters, Lillian LeBreton, Adeline St. Louis, and Marie Storeman, all of Old Town, and Yvonne Willett of Eddington; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated August 17 at St. Anne's Church in Dexter, with Fr. Marcel Robitaille officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
