PHYLLIS (MAYNARD) DUBAY DEXTER - Phyllis (Maynard) Dubay, wife of Merle Dubay, died April 27, 1992, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born in Dexter February 26, 1924, the daughter of Hollis and Marguerite (Bush) Maynard. She graduated from N.H. Fay High School in Dexter and was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation she worked in Civil Service for the government in Washington, DC. She was employed on her return from Washington by the local office of Central Maine Power Co. Her most recent employment, from which she retired in 1986, was as secretary to the Principal at the Primary/Middle School, SAD #46 for nineteen years. She also taught Sunday School and served on several committees of the First Baptist Church of Dexter. She was an active scouter, serving as Cub Scout Den Mother, also as Den Leader of Pack 75 of Dexter. She was a member of the Penquis District Boy Scout Committee of the Katahdin Area Council. She is survived by her husband of Dexter; two sons, Michael Dubay of Lowell, MA and Kevin Dubay of Old Orchard Beach; a granddaughter, Stephanie of Lowell, MA; two brothers, Ervin (Bud) Maynard of Wilton and James Maynard of Clifton Park, NY; a sister Rowena Hanson of N. Brooksfield, MA, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter, Tuesday, April 28, 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Judson Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
