Obituary
AMOS E. BODGE DEXTER - Amos E. Bodge, 95, died September 7, 1991, at a Dexter nursing home. He was born May 29, 1896, in Monson, the son of Ivory and Lillian (Stanchfield) Bodge. He was a veteran of World War I, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 42 of Stratford, CT., Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2197 and Veterans of World War I Post No. 2334 of Waterville. He worked as a machinist and tool maker, retiring from Keyes Fiber. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Wakefield) Bodge. He is survived by three nephews, Galen Wentworth of Dexter, Roger Wentworth of Barefoot Bay, FL, Rodney Wentworth of East Hartford, CT and several cousins. Calling hours were held Monday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery, Monson, with Pastor Daryl Witmer officiating.
