Obituary	JOHN T. 'JACK' MURDOCK SR. DEXTER - John "Jack" Murdock Sr., 88, died July 12, 1991, at a Dexter Nursing Home. He was born November 19, 1902, at Chatham, New Brunswick. Jack operated the Ripley General Store from the early 1920's until World War II. During the War he worked at Fay & Scott Machine Shop. He then owned and operated Murdock's Market in Dexter until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Ada (Blethen) Murdock, who died in 1974. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Grady of South Portland; two sons, John Jr. of Dexter and Gilbert of Vero Beach, FL; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maine Lung Association, 128 Sewall St., Augusta 04330.
