LILIAN V. GOODWIN DOVER-FOXCROFT - Lilian V. Goodwin, wife of Harold R. Good win, died June 29, 1991, in Dover- Foxcroft, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Dexter, November 21, 1919, the daughter of Willis and Pearl (Grant) Jackson. She was a graduate of N.H. Fay High School in Dexter and the University of Maine at Orono. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having worked in the Dexter school system for many years. She was a member of the Piscataquis County Retired Teachers Association and Church Women United. She was also a long-time member of the Advent Christian Church, Dover-Foxcroft, and had attended the Church of the Nazarene for many years, serving as organist and music director. She is survived by her husband, Harold R. Goodwin of Dover-Foxcroft; one son, Alfred Lee of Dexter; three step-sons, Dean Goodwin of Wayland, MA, Richard Goodwin of Charleston, Phil Goodwin of Massachusetts; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Joyce Chambers; and one step-daughter, Joan Hathaway. Calling hours were held July 1. Funeral services were conducted July 2 at the Advent Christian Church with the Rev. David McLeish officiating. After cremation, burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
