Obituary
Albert Nelson Atkins of Corinna died late Tuesday night at his home in East Corinna, after a years illness of heart trouble. Mr. Atkins parents were and Everett and Addie (Butters) Atkins and he was born on the farm on which he died being a life long resident of Corinna. He attended the Dexter High School and came home to help his father conduct his large dairy farm of pure bred Holstein cattle. He was a member of the grange. He was a good citizen, respected by every one. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Alice (Nutter) Atkins and a sister Mrs. Evelyn Atkins Cushman of Bangor and several cousins. Two nieces of Mrs. Nutter lived with them, Mrs. Marion Ervin of Corinna and Miss Hazel Nutter now employed in Portland. The funeral services were held at his late home Friday P. M. at 2 o'clock with Rev. Frederick Niles of the Corinna Methodist church speaking. The flowers from friends and relatives at home and other place and from the grange were particularly abundant and beautiful. The bearers were two cousins, Warren and Jerauld Butters of Exeter and two of Mrs. Atkins brothers Fred J. of Corinna and Guy of Boston. The burial was in the Morses Corner cemetery. Out of town relatives present at the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Archie Cushman, Bangor; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Nutter, Boston; Mrs. Blanche Atkins and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mower, Dexter; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Nutter, Belfast, Mrs. Ethel Mitchell, Haynesvide, Me., and Jennie Nutter of Hinckley and cousins.
