FORREST W. FLEWELLING DEXTER - Forrest W. Flewelling, 75, husband of the late Edith 0. Blethen, died October 16, 1990 at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 16, 1915 in Skowhegan, the son of Thomas and Effie (King) Flewelling. He attended Sangerville schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe. He worked for Fayscott Inc. for many years, after which he was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the South Sangerville Grange. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Reginald (Mildred) Mountain of Dexter; five grandchildren, Reginald Mountain Jr., Mrs. Michael (Katherine) Ricker, Loni, Lisa and Eugene Mountain; four great grandchildren; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Fred (Janice) Jones of St. Albans, Mrs. Kenneth (Diane) Gardiner of Corinna, Mrs. John (Linda) Wilber of Dexter, Mrs. Ivan (Elaine) Cayford of Hartland, and Marilyn Larrochelle of Bangor; four sisters, Alfreda F. Haines of Dexter, Mrs. Otis (Glennys) Roberts Jr. of Dexter, Mrs. Opal Ireland of Corinna,, and Mrs. Edith McLaughlin of Skowhegan; three brothers, Sheldon Flewelling of Corinna, Howard Flewelling of Carmel, and Thomas Flewelling Jr. of Hayfork, Calif,; 13 nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held on October 17, at Crosby and Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services were held October 18 at the First Free Baptist Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
