Obituary	EDWARD H. ELLMS RIPLEY - Edward H. Ellms died July 29, 1990 at a Bangor hospital. He was born October 1, 1898 at Ripley. He attended Ripley schools and graduated from Dexter High School in 1916. He graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College, Institute of Technology. He worked for Allied Company from 1925 until he retired and moved back to Ripley with his wife, Jean (Pugh) Ellms. He served on the Ripley Planning Board for many years. In addition to his wife of Ripley, he is survived by three daughters, Virginia Osterhus of Austin, Texas, Shirley Hatch of Dexter, and Barbara Dover of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two nieces. Friends called July 31 at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
