NORMAN F. PLOUFF DEXTER - Norman F. Plouff, 85, died February 21, 1990 at a Dexter Nursing Home. He was born January 1, 1905, at Sabattus, the son of Peter and Marion (Fay) Plouff. He attended Dexter Schools, Tabor Academy and Wentworth Institute. He owned and was treasurer of Fay and Scott and later was president of the Fayscott Oil Division. He was a member and Past Master of Penobscot Masonic Lodge #39, a member of the St. John Royal Chapter #25, Mount Mariah Council #10, DeMolay Commandery #10, Anah Temple Shrine, the Tarratine Club, the Bangor Court Royal Order of Jesters, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites Consistery of Portland, and was the first president of the Tri-Country Shrine Club. He was a member of Plymouth Lodge #65, International Order of Odd Fellows; the Elkinstown Club; the Northeast Region Civil Air Patrol, where he served as past wing commander; and past president of the Dexter Club. He was also a past member of the Dexter Kiwanis Club and the Dexter Fish and Game Association. He also served on the board of directors of Plummer Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Rose Adams Plouff of Dexter, and was predeceased by his first wife, Iola Hulbert Plouff. Friends called on February 23, and Masonic services were held at Crosby Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services were held at the Dexter First Universalist Church on February 24, with the Rev. Richard Norsworthy officiating. Spring interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Donations may be made in his memory to the Shriner's Burn Center, and envelopes are available at Crosby Funeral Homes.
