Obituary
ROBERT BUXTON DEXTER - Robert W. Buxton, 74, died May 28, 1983, at his Prospect Street residence. He was born in Bath, May 16, 1909, the son of Roy and Mildred (Whitcomb) Buxton. He graduated from Corinna Union Academy, class of 1928. He was employed for a number of years at Dumbarton Woolen Mill until it was closed and then worked for Chase and Kimball Oil Co. until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dexter as well as a 50-year members and past master of Parian Lodge of Corinna; past high priest of St. John's Chapter, Dexter; a former member and past thrice illustrious master of Mount Moriah Council of Skowhegan and a member of the Central council of Dover-Foxcroft. He was a past commander of Demolay Commandary of Skowhegan; past patron of Corinne Chapter, O.E.S. of Corinna; honorary member of the Corinna Fire Department and a member of Dexter Fish and Game. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Mountain) Buxton of Dexter; one son, James of Esko, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Prudy) Asadoorian of Nashua, N.H.; one sister, Mrs. John (Kathryn) Pinkerton of Corinna; five grandchildren, one nephew, two cousins. Memorial services will be held at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the United Methodist Church in care of Arlene Page, Zions Hill, Dexter. Interment will be Sangerville Village Cemetery. Arrangements by Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter.
