Obituary	ELDEN L. RICHARDS DEXTER - Elden L. Richards, 51, died February 9, 1983, at a Waterville hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dexter, Aug. 31, 1931, the son of Lester and Inez Richards. He worked for several years in Augusta at Camp Keyes. He attended the First Free Baptist Church. He was a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by his mother and wife, Betty Hartley Richards, both of Dexter; three daughters, Mrs. Alan (Kathy) Mooers of Guilford and Ann and Mary Richards, both of Dexter; two brothers, Omar Richards of Middletown, Conn., and Kenneth Richards of Dexter; three sisters, Mrs. Reuben (Beatrice) Call of Corinna, Mrs. Wesley (Shirley) Parkman of Dexter and Mattie Higgins of Hartland; four grandsons. Funeral services were held Saturday at the First Free Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Johnson officiating. Friends called at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, Thursday and Friday. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in the spring.
