Obituary	OAKLEY J. DEMPSEY DEXTER - Oakley J. Dempsey, 58, died March 22, 1991, at his residence in Dexter. He was born December 27, 1832, at Medway. He worked as a night watchman for Dexter Shoe Co. in Dexter for many years. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Boyd) Dempsey of Dexter; one daughter, Elaine Saunders; and three grandsons, Stephen Jr., Michael and Brian, all of Sebec: 10 brothers and sisters, Robert Pelkey, Priscilla Lyons, Rene Pelkey, Marianne McLaughlin and Janice Currie, all of Medway, Roger Pelkey of East Millinocket, Kathy Hardy of North Amity, Ellen McLaughlin and Sharon Smyte, both of Woodville; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene; and twin daughters, Linda and Cheryl. Calling hours were March 24 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. Funeral services were held March 25 with the Rev. Judson Stone officiating. Spring interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Note: birth year should be 1932
